The Green Mile (1999)

The trailer for The Green Mile revisits Frank Darabont's moving adaptation of Stephen King's serialized novel. In 1935, Paul Edgecomb is the head guard on death row at a Louisiana penitentiary, a cellblock nicknamed the Green Mile for its faded green floor. Among the new prisoners is John Coffey, a gentle giant convicted of murdering two little girls. As Paul and his fellow guards get to know Coffey, they discover that he has a mysterious and miraculous gift, and they begin to doubt that he committed the crime at all. Tom Hanks plays Paul and Michael Clarke Duncan plays Coffey in an Oscar-nominated role, with David Morse, Bonnie Hunt, James Cromwell, Sam Rockwell, Doug Hutchison, Michael Jeter and Barry Pepper. Darabont writes and directs. Warner Bros. released it on December 10, 1999. It is available to rent or buy digitally.
