Platoon (1986)

The Platoon trailer is for Oliver Stone's 1986 Vietnam War drama, based on his own experience as a soldier. Chris Taylor, played by Charlie Sheen, is a young college dropout who volunteers for combat and arrives in Vietnam in 1967. In the jungle, his platoon is split between two sergeants: the hardened, scarred Barnes, played by Tom Berenger, and the more humane Elias, played by Willem Dafoe. As the war grinds on, the conflict between the two men turns as dangerous as the enemy itself, and Chris has to decide what kind of man he will be. Forest Whitaker, Kevin Dillon and Johnny Depp appear. It won four Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director. It is available on 4K, Blu-ray and digital.
