Gran Torino (2008)

The trailer for Gran Torino revisits Clint Eastwood's late-career drama about a bitter old man who finds an unlikely family. Walt Kowalski is a recently widowed Korean War veteran and retired autoworker in a changing Detroit-area neighborhood, where most of his neighbors are now Hmong immigrants he openly distrusts. When the shy teenager next door, Thao, is pressured by a gang to steal Walt's prized 1972 Ford Gran Torino, Walt catches him, and he is slowly drawn into the lives of Thao and his outspoken sister Sue. As the gang's threats escalate, Walt decides to protect them in his own way. Eastwood directs and stars, with Bee Vang as Thao, Ahney Her as Sue and Christopher Carley as Father Janovich. Warner Bros. released it in December 2008. It is available to rent or buy digitally.
