The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre trailer is for Tobe Hooper's 1974 horror film, one of the most influential scary movies ever made. Sally Hardesty, played by Marilyn Burns, her brother Franklin and three friends drive through rural Texas to check on their grandfather's grave after reports of grave robbing. They pick up a disturbing hitchhiker and then stop at an old farmhouse, which turns out to belong to a family of cannibals. One by one, the friends fall victim to the family, including the hulking, mask-wearing Leatherface, played by Gunnar Hansen, and his chainsaw. Made on a tiny budget, it feels raw and real, and it launched a long franchise. Despite its reputation, it shows little blood. It is available on 4K, Blu-ray and digital.
