Jaws (1975)

The Jaws original trailer is for Steven Spielberg's 1975 thriller, the film that invented the summer blockbuster. On Amity Island, a summer beach town that depends on tourists, a giant great white shark starts killing swimmers just before the Fourth of July. Police chief Martin Brody, played by Roy Scheider, wants to close the beaches, but the mayor refuses. Brody teams up with young oceanographer Matt Hooper, played by Richard Dreyfuss, and the salty shark hunter Quint, played by Robert Shaw, and the three head out to sea on Quint's boat, the Orca. John Williams' two-note score became one of the most famous themes in film history. It is based on Peter Benchley's novel. It is available on 4K, Blu-ray and digital.
