The Riot (2026)

The Riot teaser trailer is for a Polish Netflix drama series inspired by real events from 1989, when the country's largest prison riot broke out. Poland has just become a democracy, but inside the walls of Mroki prison, the old ways die hard. When the inmates rise up, a hardened prisoner and a rising politician, who were once cellmates, must race against time to stop a massacre. Their shared past may be the only thing that can keep the standoff from turning into a bloodbath. Borys Szyc and Filip Pławiak star. The 52-second teaser, released October 12, 2026, introduces the two men and the tense world of the prison. It is a political thriller and a prison drama in one. Netflix has not yet announced a premiere date, so watch the service for updates.
