The Others (2001)

The trailer for The Others revisits Alejandro Amenábar's elegant, chilling ghost story. In 1945, on the island of Jersey just after World War II, Grace Stewart waits for her husband to return from the war in a dark, isolated mansion with her two children, Anne and Nicholas, who suffer from a rare sensitivity to light. Every curtain must be closed and every door locked. When three new servants arrive, strange things begin to happen in the house, and Grace becomes convinced they are not alone. Nicole Kidman plays Grace, with Fionnula Flanagan as the housekeeper Mrs. Mills, Christopher Eccleston, Alakina Mann and James Bentley. Amenábar writes, directs and composed the score. Dimension Films released it on August 10, 2001. It is available to rent or buy digitally.
