Daniel LaRusso, played by Ralph Macchio, moves with his mother from New Jersey to Southern California and quickly becomes the target of Johnny Lawrence, played by William Zabka, and his gang of bullies from the ruthless Cobra Kai karate dojo. After a bad beating, Daniel is rescued by Mr. Miyagi, played by Pat Morita, the quiet handyman at his apartment building, who turns out to be a karate master. Miyagi agrees to train him, though his methods, like "wax on, wax off," seem like chores at first. Daniel enters the All Valley tournament to face Johnny. Elisabeth Shue co-stars. Morita earned an Oscar nomination. It is available on 4K, Blu-ray and digital.
