The Disciple: A Wu-Tang Fable trailer is for Netflix's documentary about the strangest album in hip-hop history. Tarik Azzougarh, a Dutch-Moroccan rapper and producer known as Cilvaringz, started as a devoted Wu-Tang Clan fan. Through sheer determination, he worked his way into the group's inner circle and found a mentor in RZA, the Wu-Tang founder and producer. Together they created Once Upon a Time in Shaolin, a one-of-a-kind album pressed as a single copy and sold at auction in 2015, which set off a global controversy about art, money and who gets to own music. The film tells how it happened, and what happened next. It is the feature directing debut of Oscar-winning producer Joanna Natasegara. It streams on Netflix, where it premiered on October 16, 2026.
