Inglourious Basterds (2009)

The trailer for Inglourious Basterds revisits Quentin Tarantino's audacious World War II revenge fantasy. In Nazi-occupied France, Lieutenant Aldo Raine leads a squad of Jewish-American soldiers, the Basterds, on a brutal mission to spread fear among German troops. Meanwhile Shosanna Dreyfus, a young Jewish woman who escaped the massacre of her family by the cunning SS officer Hans Landa, now runs a Paris cinema under a false name. When the Nazi high command plans a film premiere at her theater, both the Basterds and Shosanna see a chance to end the war. Brad Pitt plays Aldo and Christoph Waltz plays Landa in an Oscar-winning role, with Mélanie Laurent, Michael Fassbender, Diane Kruger, Daniel Brühl, Eli Roth and Til Schweiger. Tarantino writes and directs. It opened on August 21, 2009. It is available to rent or buy digitally.
