2:39Young Frankenstein (1974)
The trailer for Young Frankenstein revisits Mel Brooks's loving, hilarious parody of the classic Universal horror films. Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, a respected American brain surgeon who insists his name is pronounced Fronkensteen, wants nothing to do with his infamous grandfather's work. Then he inherits the family castle in Transylvania, finds the old laboratory notes and, with help from his hunchbacked assistant Igor and lab assistant Inga, brings a creature to life, with chaotic results, including a song-and-dance number to "Puttin' on the Ritz." Gene Wilder plays Frederick, with Peter Boyle as the Monster, Marty Feldman as Igor, Teri Garr, Cloris Leachman, Madeline Kahn and Gene Hackman. Brooks directs in black and white and co-wrote the script with Wilder. 20th Century Fox released it on December 15, 1974. It is available to rent or buy digitally.
