Watchmen (2009)

The trailer for Watchmen revisits Zack Snyder's adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons's landmark graphic novel. In an alternate 1985 where costumed heroes helped win the Vietnam War and Richard Nixon is still president, vigilantes have been outlawed and the world is on the brink of nuclear war. When the retired hero known as the Comedian is murdered, the masked investigator Rorschach starts digging, convinced someone is killing off former heroes, and he uncovers a conspiracy that reaches all the way to the godlike Dr. Manhattan. Jackie Earle Haley plays Rorschach, Billy Crudup plays Dr. Manhattan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays the Comedian, with Malin Åkerman, Matthew Goode, Patrick Wilson and Carla Gugino. Warner Bros. released it on March 6, 2009. It is available to rent or buy digitally.
