The Wedding Singer (1998)

The trailer for The Wedding Singer revisits the sweet, funny romance set in 1985. Robbie Hart is a lovable wedding singer in New Jersey who is crushed when his own fiancée leaves him at the altar. Heartbroken, he starts sabotaging the weddings he is hired to play, until he befriends Julia, a kind waitress at the reception hall who is engaged to a smug, cheating junk bond trader. As Robbie helps Julia plan her wedding, the two realize they may be meant for each other. Adam Sandler plays Robbie and Drew Barrymore plays Julia, with Christine Taylor, Allen Covert, Matthew Glave, Steve Buscemi and Billy Idol as himself. Frank Coraci directs from a script by Tim Herlihy, with a soundtrack full of 1980s hits. New Line released it on February 13, 1998. It is available to rent or buy digitally.
