The Thing (1982)

The Thing trailer is for John Carpenter's 1982 science fiction horror film. At a remote American research station in Antarctica, the crew watches as a Norwegian helicopter chases a sled dog across the ice, shooting at it. The dog escapes into their camp. Helicopter pilot R.J. MacReady, played by Kurt Russell, and the others soon learn the truth: the dog is not a dog. It is an alien life form that can perfectly copy any living thing it absorbs. Trapped together by a winter storm, the men no longer know who is still human, and paranoia spreads as fast as the creature. Wilford Brimley and Keith David co-star. Rob Bottin's grotesque practical effects are legendary, and Ennio Morricone wrote the score. It is available on 4K, Blu-ray and digital.
