The Dark Knight (2008)

The trailer for The Dark Knight revisits Christopher Nolan's crime epic, often called the greatest superhero film ever made. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and new District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle Gotham City's organized crime. Then a new criminal mastermind appears: the Joker, an agent of chaos who wants to watch the world burn and who tests Batman, Gordon and Dent with a series of terrible choices. Christian Bale plays Batman, and Heath Ledger plays the Joker in a role that won him a posthumous Academy Award, with Aaron Eckhart as Dent, Michael Caine, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman. Nolan directs and co-wrote the film with his brother Jonathan. Warner Bros. released it on July 18, 2008. It is available to rent or buy digitally.
