2:39The Breakfast Club (1985)
The trailer for The Breakfast Club revisits John Hughes's defining teen film of the 1980s. On a Saturday in March 1984, five students from very different cliques at Shermer High School serve detention together in the library: a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal. Watched by their resentful vice principal, they start out as strangers who have nothing in common, but over the course of the day they talk, argue, dance and open up, discovering that they share more than they ever imagined. Emilio Estevez, Molly Ringwald, Judd Nelson, Anthony Michael Hall and Ally Sheedy star, with Paul Gleason as Mr. Vernon. Hughes writes and directs, and Simple Minds' "Don't You (Forget About Me)" became an anthem. Universal released it on February 15, 1985. It is available to rent or buy digitally.
