Superman Returns (2006)

The trailer for Superman Returns revisits Bryan Singer's reverent continuation of the classic Superman films. After five years away searching for the remains of his home planet, Krypton, Superman returns to Earth and finds that the world has learned to live without him. Lois Lane has a young son and a fiancé, and she has won a Pulitzer for an article titled "Why the World Doesn't Need Superman." Meanwhile Lex Luthor, free from prison, has a plan using Kryptonian crystals that could wipe out entire continents. Brandon Routh plays Superman, with Kate Bosworth as Lois, Kevin Spacey as Luthor, James Marsden, Frank Langella, Parker Posey and Eva Marie Saint. Singer directs, paying tribute to the Christopher Reeve films. Warner Bros. released it on June 28, 2006. It is available to rent or buy digitally.
