Mary Poppins (1964)

The trailer for Mary Poppins presents Disney's landmark musical, blending live action and animation. In 1910 London, the stern banker George Banks and his wife cannot keep a nanny for their children, Jane and Michael. Then Mary Poppins floats down from the sky on her umbrella, and with her friend Bert, a cheerful chimney sweep, she turns chores into adventures, from jumping into chalk paintings to tea parties on the ceiling, while teaching the whole family what matters most. Julie Andrews stars in the role that won her the Academy Award for Best Actress, with Dick Van Dyke, David Tomlinson and Glynis Johns. Robert Stevenson directs, with songs by Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman, including "Chim Chim Cher-ee" and "A Spoonful of Sugar." It premiered on August 27, 1964, and streams on Disney+.
