Lethal Weapon 2 (1989)

The trailer for Lethal Weapon 2 reunites Riggs and Murtaugh for an even bigger, funnier adventure. While chasing a car full of South African Krugerrands, the two Los Angeles detectives stumble onto a drug-smuggling ring run by diplomats who hide behind diplomatic immunity. Assigned to protect Leo Getz, a fast-talking federal witness who never stops talking, they have to bring down the untouchable criminals, and Riggs uncovers a connection to his own past. Mel Gibson and Danny Glover return, with Joe Pesci as Leo, Joss Ackland as the villainous diplomat Arjen Rudd, Patsy Kensit and Derrick O'Connor. Richard Donner directs again. Warner Bros. released it on July 7, 1989. It is available to rent or buy digitally.
