Iron Man (2008)

The trailer for Iron Man revisits the film that launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Tony Stark is a genius, billionaire and weapons manufacturer who lives for the spotlight. While demonstrating a new missile in Afghanistan, he is captured by terrorists and ordered to build a weapon for them. Instead, with help from a fellow captive, he builds a powered suit of armor and escapes. Back home, Tony decides to stop making weapons and perfects the suit, which puts him on a collision course with his company's second-in-command, Obadiah Stane. Robert Downey Jr. plays Tony Stark, with Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges as Stane and Clark Gregg. Jon Favreau directs. Marvel Studios and Paramount released it on May 2, 2008. It streams on Disney+.
