Hellboy (2004)

The trailer for Hellboy revisits Guillermo del Toro's affectionate adaptation of Mike Mignola's cult comics. In 1944, Nazi occultists led by the resurrected mystic Grigori Rasputin open a portal and summon a demon baby, who is rescued by the Allies and raised by Professor Trevor Broom. Sixty years later, Hellboy works for the secret Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense, fighting monsters with the fish-man Abe Sapien and the fire-starting Liz Sherman. When Rasputin returns with a plan to bring about the apocalypse, Hellboy has to face his own destiny. Ron Perlman plays Hellboy, with Selma Blair, Doug Jones, John Hurt, Jeffrey Tambor, Rupert Evans and Karel Roden. Del Toro writes and directs. Columbia released it on April 2, 2004.
