Goldfinger (1964)

The trailer for Goldfinger revisits the James Bond adventure that set the template for the entire series. Agent 007 is assigned to investigate Auric Goldfinger, a wealthy bullion dealer suspected of smuggling gold across international borders. Bond's pursuit takes him from Miami to Switzerland to Kentucky, where he uncovers Goldfinger's audacious plan, Operation Grand Slam, to attack the U.S. gold reserve at Fort Knox. Along the way he faces the deadly henchman Oddjob and his razor-brimmed hat and meets the formidable pilot Pussy Galore. Sean Connery plays Bond, with Gert Fröbe as Goldfinger, Honor Blackman, Shirley Eaton and Harold Sakata as Oddjob. Guy Hamilton directs, and the film introduced the gadget-packed Aston Martin DB5. United Artists released it in the US on December 22, 1964. It is available to rent or buy digitally.
