Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004)

The trailer for Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story revisits the sports comedy that made the playground game a contact sport. Peter LaFleur runs Average Joe's, a run-down gym with a handful of loyal, oddball members. When the egomaniacal owner of the flashy Globo Gym next door, White Goodman, moves to buy it out, Peter and his misfits need $50,000 fast. Their only shot is to win an international dodgeball tournament in Las Vegas, so they recruit a wheelchair-bound dodgeball legend, Patches O'Houlihan, to train them. Vince Vaughn plays Peter and Ben Stiller plays White, with Christine Taylor, Rip Torn as Patches, Justin Long, Stephen Root, Alan Tudyk, Gary Cole and Jason Bateman. Rawson Marshall Thurber writes and directs. 20th Century Fox released it on June 18, 2004. It is available to rent or buy digitally.
