2:39Blazing Saddles (1974)
The trailer for Blazing Saddles revisits Mel Brooks's outrageous Western satire. The corrupt state attorney general Hedley Lamarr wants to drive the residents out of the frontier town of Rock Ridge so the railroad can come through and make him rich. His plan is to appoint a Black sheriff, Bart, expecting the bigoted townsfolk to revolt. Instead, Bart teams up with a washed-up gunslinger called the Waco Kid and wins the town over with wit, nerve and plenty of anarchic comedy. Cleavon Little plays Bart and Gene Wilder plays the Waco Kid, with Harvey Korman as Lamarr, Madeline Kahn in an Oscar-nominated role as Lili von Shtupp, Slim Pickens and Brooks himself. Brooks directs and co-wrote the script with Richard Pryor and others. Warner Bros. released it on February 7, 1974. It is available to rent or buy digitally.
