Batman (1989)

The trailer for Batman revisits Tim Burton's dark, gothic take on the Caped Crusader. Gotham City is overrun by crime, and a mysterious vigilante has been striking fear into its criminals. Photojournalist Vicki Vale sets out to uncover his identity and falls for the billionaire Bruce Wayne. Meanwhile, after a fall into a vat of chemicals, gangster Jack Napier reemerges as the Joker and plans to poison the city. Michael Keaton plays Batman, Jack Nicholson plays the Joker and Kim Basinger plays Vicki Vale, with Robert Wuhl, Pat Hingle, Billy Dee Williams, Michael Gough and Jack Palance. Burton directs, with songs by Prince and a score by Danny Elfman. Warner Bros. released it on June 23, 1989. It streams on HBO Max and can be rented or bought digitally.
