Avatar (2009)

The trailer for Avatar revisits James Cameron's groundbreaking 3D science fiction epic. In 2154, paraplegic Marine Jake Sully travels to Pandora, a lush moon where a mining corporation wants the valuable mineral beneath the home of the Na'vi, the planet's blue-skinned natives. Linked to a genetically engineered Na'vi body called an avatar, Jake is sent to win their trust. Instead he falls for Neytiri, a Na'vi warrior, and has to choose a side as the humans prepare for war. Sam Worthington plays Jake and Zoe Saldaña plays Neytiri, with Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez and Giovanni Ribisi. Cameron writes and directs. 20th Century Fox released it on December 18, 2009, and it became the highest-grossing film of all time. It streams on Disney+.
