Armageddon (1998)

The trailer for Armageddon revisits Michael Bay's explosive end-of-the-world blockbuster. NASA discovers that an asteroid the size of Texas is on a collision course with Earth, and in 18 days it will wipe out all life. The only hope is to land on it and blow it apart from the inside, so the agency recruits Harry Stamper, the world's best deep-core oil driller, and his rough-and-tumble crew, including A.J., the young driller dating Harry's daughter Grace. The roughnecks get a crash course in spaceflight before launching on a mission that could save the planet. Bruce Willis plays Harry, Ben Affleck plays A.J. and Liv Tyler plays Grace, with Billy Bob Thornton, Steve Buscemi, Will Patton, Owen Wilson and Michael Clarke Duncan. Jerry Bruckheimer produces. It opened on July 1, 1998, and streams on Disney+.
