Bad Monkey Season 2 Trailer: Vince Vaughn Returns Dec. 2
Andrew Yancy witnesses a murder in the Florida Keys and lands in a turf war with John Malkovich's crime boss when Apple TV's comedy returns December 2.
Bad Monkey Season 2 premieres Wednesday, December 2, 2026, on Apple TV, with one episode on launch day and a new episode every Wednesday through February 3, 2027. Apple released the official trailer on November 5.
Vince Vaughn is back as Andrew Yancy, the disgraced cop turned restaurant inspector who can't stay out of police business. This time he sees the murder of the man Apple's synopsis calls "Florida's finest fixer," and an ambitious state attorney pairs him with a strait-laced forensic accountant to work the case.
The case pulls Yancy into a turf war between rival criminal organizations, and the trailer puts him across the table from the season's new heavy: crime boss Spencer Donovan, played by John Malkovich. Spencer's henchmen spend much of the footage trying to put Yancy in the ground, which gives Rosa a reason to say the trailer's best line: "I get why people shoot at you."
Natalie Martinez returns as Dr. Rosa Campesino, alongside Charlotte Lawrence as Caitlin and John Ortiz as Rogelio. Yvonne Strahovski and Zavior Phillips join Malkovich as new series regulars. The guest cast includes Dax Shepard, June Diane Raphael, Sofia Boutella, Peter Billingsley, Sam Jaeger, Nate Jackson, Brent Morin, Joey Avery and Margarita Levieva.
Bill Lawrence, the co-creator of Ted Lasso and Shrinking, created the show and runs it. Season 1 adapted Carl Hiaasen's novel; Season 2 tells an all-new original story, and Hiaasen stays on as an executive producer with Lawrence, Vaughn, Jeff Ingold, Matt Tarses, Liza Katzer, Adam Sztykiel and Chris Downey. Warner Bros. Television produces.
The new season runs 10 episodes, and it lands two years after Season 1 wrapped in October 2024. If you need to catch up before December 2, all of Season 1 is streaming on Apple TV now.
