Josephine (2026)

The Josephine official trailer previews writer and director Beth de Araújo's drama, which won both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. Eight-year-old Josephine, played by Mason Reeves, accidentally witnesses a violent crime in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. Afterward she starts acting out as she looks for a way to feel safe again, and the adults around her cannot seem to comfort her. Channing Tatum and Gemma Chan play her parents, and Philip Ettinger also stars. Sumerian Pictures opens Josephine in select theaters on November 20, 2026, before expanding nationwide on December 4. The subject matter is heavy, so it is best suited to adult viewers.
