The trailer for Fortitude previews a World War II spy thriller about one of the greatest deceptions in military history. Ahead of the D-Day landings, the Allies launch Operation Fortitude, an elaborate campaign to fool Nazi intelligence about where the invasion will come. At its center are real-life agents who set a trap for Hitler and his army, including Dusko Popov, a flamboyant Serbian double agent said to be one of Ian Fleming's inspirations for James Bond. Nicolas Cage plays Popov, with Matthew Goode, Ed Skrein, Alice Eve, Michael Sheen and Ben Kingsley. Simon West, director of Con Air, directs from a script by Simon Afram. Fortitude is set for theaters in late 2026; an exact US date has not been announced.
