Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo (2026)

The Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo teaser trailer is for Takashi Miike's take on the police corruption series made famous by Abel Ferrara and Werner Herzog. A disgraced Tokyo detective, played by Shun Oguri, is already deep in his own violence and bad habits when he gets tangled up with the FBI, former yakuza and the case of a missing American girl. The deeper he goes, the more dangerous and unstable things get. Lily James and WWE star Liv Morgan co-star, with Shotaro Mamiya, Jun Kunimura and Hiroshi Tachi. Miike is known for wild, extreme genre films such as Audition and 13 Assassins. Neon is releasing it. It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2026 and opened in Japan on October 23.
